Happily Ever After

A friend once asked when it could be said that one is either happy or sad, and in response I had this to say.
________________________________________________________

Happiness isn't a thing that happens down the road, or a mood that comes once in a while. It is an active sense of feeling, borne out of the in-depth knowledge of self. You're either happy or you're not, there's no in-betweens.

When a large part of your emotions is spent waiting for the occurrence of an event to propel you into the realm of pure bliss, then you might have just lost the meaning of happiness and true rest.
At this point, it could be said that you aren't living maximally, and what you have termed happiness could be likened to a boss, who's never satisfied and would always have so many more tasks to 'dish-out' in order for you to grow wit to execute just another one -a tail of an insatiable desire.

Happiness is discovering who you are, it is finding your heart, loving yourself, expressing the joy garnered inside-out, and offering the same measure of gifts acquired unto others, regardless of who deserves what or not

By so doing, you'd have gained mastery over your mind and obtained pure happiness.

Therefore, regardless of your thought-pattern or belief, make a decision to not wait for anyone or events before you choose to be happy.

...then and only then can you live happily ever after...

So what!

So what !

So she was a cheat, slept with so many that she lost count. Aborted severally, a murderer, more gruesome than a serial-killer.
Some said she seared her heart, have her soul sold to the devil, and all that's left is nothing but the size of a weevil. However, she wasn't made that way.
She was once elegant, a piece of art mastered by God Himself, left to dazzle the naked eyes.
Her eyes shone brighter than the stars, and her smile a relief to the soul. Reaching deep to the soul, her words provided comfort -a spark of hope in the darkest places.
To the darkest parts of the world, her light shone as bright as the sun. An element compared to none.
How and when she arrived here, my head fails me still. As no aggregation of words proved enough to proof her sudden decline.
To whom do one ascribe the blame, the society? and would she ever find forgiveness in the heart of our diaries? These and more are the questions that lingers in my head.
Forgiveness, I'd say, isn't limited to the offender, it trickles down to the offendee. It's the only way to get over the shock, hurt, and the scars left by the errors of our past.
A mentor once said, “if you've not developed the capacity to forgive, you aren't ready for marriage”~ Sam Adeyemi. But I say, If you've not developed the capacity to forgive, you aren't ready for life itself. As forgiveness is a necessity to livelihood, and that more effectively.
God, through the eyes of His son -Jesus- forgave and reconciled us to Himself. Having made us Holy, unblameable, and unreproveable to Himself. [Colossians 1:22, emphases added]. How much more, in our relationship with fellow men.
So, when next you perceive your neighbour falling, ask for God's redemptive power on his behalf and inspire courage in such individual. You never know, you might be saving much more than perceived.
I live to forgive, in fact, forgiveness is one of the qualities of godliness that's conferred on me. How about you?

Is the future really bright ?

Is the future really bright ?

Just as the brain is some repository for knowledge, so is the LIBRARY to an endless chain of information.

Libraries are the future of Reading and the future of great leadership for any nation.
What a nation thinks about its centres for learning is a measure of what it feels about education.

The reflections and histories of men and women throughout the world are contained in books, and education presents the opportunity to ask questions, find answers, and break open the doors leading to this historical knowledge. A nation’s greatness and progress is dependent upon each and every citizen being able to access and utilise this knowledge, turning every detail into a lead.

However, an unresolved question remains: What does the future hold for a nation with such a large youthful population who have little or no interest in education or books? Would such place be conducive for living or left with ruins?

A mentor of mine once said, "the most dangerous sets of people are those who make decisions based on residual knowledge".
At first, it appears as though they are right, but when such knowledge is put through test it falls apart, though after having ruined lives.

I will close with this, the scripture Proverbs 4:7 says, " Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding". Getting here is a continuous transitive verb, that means to continuously obtain or gain possession of a thing.

If the the oldest book that exists and communicates the mind of the creator (God), lays emphasis on the importance of education then I see no reason why anyone should neglect it.

It is all insanity

"If you think anyone is sane you just don't know enough about them" ~ Christopher Moore.

I want to believe that at the time Christopher Moore made this statement, he must have seen the very things I am seeing presently.
I mean, it appears as though the number of sane people had not only reduced but had been replaced by their insane counterpart.

What would you say of a medical practitioner who teaches on the mode of operations of drugs and the side-effects, yet a chronic addict.
The law enforcement agencies whose job description is to ensure that the law is duly enforced, yet breaks the law at a regularly.
How about a clergyman who is trained and ordained for religious service, yet drenched in the pool of immorality.

"Wisdom is profitable to direct"~ Ecclesiastes 10:10, a prove that having knowledge is not enough to succeed in 'life'. As success requires a combination of knowing and applying, and unless you figure that out it might prove elusive.

Get Knowledge, Get Understanding, Get Wisdom.

wisdom is applicable

Each day we are made increasingly aware of the fact that life is more than science and mathematics, more than history and literature. There is need for another education, without which the substance of secular learning may lead only to destruction. I refer to the education of the heart, of the conscience, of the character, of the spirit—the indefinable aspects of our personalities which determine so
certainly what we are and what we do in our relationships with one another.
-Gordon B. Hinckley

I was surfing through the internet recently, and to be sincere I was left in awe by the level of knowledge exuded by us youths all over the world. The extent of this knowledge is though amazing, yet disturbing.
With this much knowledge available, one would think that the world might as well be near a state of perfection, yet we are constantly made aware of the other side of the coin -of the 'sickness' in the society, the contention and trouble that has brought misery into the lives of millions, of the atrocity perpetuated in our homes, schools, industries, churches and others. Fraud, corruption, sexual perverseness and immorality, jealousy, murder et al., appears to be at their peak with the thought of a univalent solution far away from a reality.

I see a large faction of us bursting with a high level of energy and knowledge, yet no  wisdom at all -the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, and insight.
I stand to say that knowledge (especially head-knowledge) does not 'deliver', for if it does:
•A medical practitioner would not smoke or be on drugs -as by default he knows the deteriorating effect of harmful drugs on health.
•A strategist would go an extra mile to achieve his plan, as plans made without executioning is as good as no plan at all.
•A 'saved' would consciously work-out his salvation, regardless of the truth that "the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has delivered us from the law of sin and death".
The availability of grace does not leave us to continue in sin -far be it.

It is true that the acquisition of facts and information, skills acquired
through experience or education, or the theoretical and practical knowledge of a subject is not enough to guarantee success in a field as the very one that we are in.
Facts, information, skills, and experience amounts to nothing when it is not duly applied and put to intellectual use. "The more the knowledge you apply, the more confident you become in controlling the events of life ~adapted from Francis Bacon".

The solution to our problem is not far fetched, it resides in our ability to 'do' the right thing (I bet you know that I am not talking about Cobham's song featuring Bez). Enough of the fables, deceit, and hypocrisy, it is time we turned from the old ways -that which has produced little over the years- and focus on the truth -God.
Philippians 4:7 speaks of God's 'peace' which surpasses all understanding.
It is of a fact that the world needs Him now, look how far we have gone from the truth. It is high time you, I mean you, returned to God.
Join me, as we make this paradigm shift effective.

Knowledge

Until we come to the understanding that it is not by mistake that we are here and walking in His plans. That it is all a part of the PROCESS, He has structured to have us become thee MAN that He has called us to be. Until we find peace with our inner man and begin to rely solely on Him, doing valiantly will be but an hear-say (Psalm 60:12). There's no understanding outside His, visit Him today...
