Encourage Yourself In The Lord

More often than not, the response of an average man to things going wrong is that born out of fear -which eventually leads to inaccurate decisions. People become fearful and seemingly irrational, giving room to the devil to creep-in and whisper terrible ideas -a forerunner for spiritual death.

In a season as this, where every calculated attempt and resources -with the aim to salvage the situation- has failed, it is useless for man to try to salvage what he has no control over. It is however important to drop our intellectual capabilities and mental strength for God's instructions and be willing to obey them.

Therefore, rather than be bedridden with worry, draw strength from the throne of Him who has the whole world in His hands. Recharge your inner man with power and might, and hold on to your conviction of faith.

Finally, though, it might appear the world is turning against you, and nothing seems to be working, know that no matter what happens, your faith-life isn't limited to the circumstances and/or events of this present life, but in the one who is able to do the impossible.

Examples of people who trusted God absolutely regardless of the intensity of their challenges: 

Abraham, an old man who had the right in all realities of life to give-up. Biological sciences and time was against him, yet he was wiling to act and encourage himself upon the pedestal of the promises of God. The result of which was "The Father of Nations".

Isaac, an industrious businessman, who at the time of global recession heeded the directives of the Lord and in return reaped a hundred (100) fold. "He gained the wealth of the gentiles".

David, a relentless chaser after the things of God, who came back one morning to the news that his family and properties along with that of his men had been taken away, enquired of the Lord and encouraged himself in the Lord to pursue, and for that He obtained territories yet untapped both in the physical and in the spiritual. "The one King who served as a King and a Priest".

These men of old had one thing in common, the God element. Therefore, in this season rather than be defined by the difficult times, encourage yourself in the Lord and strive to be the best you ever. Do not allow your tragedy change your theology, for who and/or whatever has your attention has control over your life.

She's My Muse

I have read several books, most of which claimed that love is the epicenter of the universe -the very element necessary for man's survival. 

From one writer to the other, I thought many were lacking in knowledge and love was nothing but fiction, found only in the warm pages of books. 

Though I never foresaw myself to be completely and utterly smothered by this myth, everything changed when I met her. 

She took my hand, led me out of the darkness, and showed me how to love

And as a flower buds-off the ground, giving beauty to the world roundabout it, she helped touch my inner beauty, broke my defenses, and brought out the gift within.

Now by her light I see what light truly is, and I stand to show her off to the entire universe. 

As she isn't just another being, she's My Muse

The resurrection and the life, the very one in whom I've got victory.

She's Jesus Christ.

P.S: the pronoun 'she' was used to set the tone and set the imagination.

What if you have been wrong all along and certain decisions, like choosing a career, who to marry, where to live, and what belief to hold on to were all erroneously made?

What if the picture of the future you once thought would be a reality is now unrealistic?

Does this and more cripple you and maybe cause your optimistic self to plummet from whatever height it's formally attained to a levelled ground?

Does the thought of starting over again break sweat from your pores and leave you 'soaken'?

Does the unpalatable news that everything failed, leave your soul locked in depression and the thought of light at the end of the tunnel reduced to nothing? 

Does it not bother you that as savvy as most of us appear, it is rather unfortunate how misinformed and ill-prepared we are in some matters?

How we chase after the least important things at the expense of the-more-important, and at the face of even the most ridiculous challenges, we fall.

At the bottom of the chain, with little or nothing to start with, would you rather throw in the towel and bury your head in shame, or would you 're-pent', 're-think', or 'think-again'?

Choice they say is relative, and to make the best of it, is to have an exceptionally unique understanding of the decisions made per time. Though broken, not to give up on a definite hope of rising again to redeem our fall.

For though the longevity of a life be finite, the 'quality' is of paramount importance.

Choose to Live freely, Choose quality!!!

Mad Men Speak In Dreams

So, I had a dream that I became the President, got the country running, and changed the world round about me. But then the dream was short lived by the buzzing sound of some terrible mosquitoes. #naija ehn#

The greatest King ever-recorded had this to say, "In the abundance of words and activities dreams abound; but in the multitude of dreams there is vanity. Do not let your heart make utterances hastily, but let your words be few. For while you stay busy with the business you've been provided, fulfillment and increase would come thereof." (Excerpt from the Book of Ecclesiastes by King Solomon)

Prior to the fear of losing one's dreams to imitators or already established competitors, alot of people end-up holding unto whatever idea they have locked in their heads, at the expense of practically living it.

While most of us spend forever telling ourselves why we shouldn't *kick our ideas out of the nest, and see if it would fly or not*, some are rather nescient of the fact that "it is at the point we give up what we have, that we find what we're looking for."

It is no myth that riskbearers take all of the profits. But as morphine is to a man in pain, we get high on our thoughts and enjoy the warmth of its embrace, though the reality is far from us.

Don't get me wrong, 'dreaming' is great but 'doing' is the only thing that matters. For what's the use of the dreams and strategies if not effectively executed.

Although, true dreams show us the weight of our responsibilities and the height of the profits locked-in thereof, until it is actualised, dreams are no different from a myth that attracts 'zero' investors.

Quit talking and get busy, as your story is to the benefit of the world roundabout you.

You're not the saviour of the world

Sometimes ago, I was engaged in a chat with an old friend and he stunned me with one of his responses. He simply said, "you're not the saviour". 

I couldn't help but reflect on those words, as it had me floored.

Apparently, over a life time it only takes a few moments to be a hero, very few ones that truly matters. Moments when you're offered a choice to make sacrifices, either to transform the world with insightful innovations, save a friend, or spare(FORGIVE) an enemy.

More often than not, if taken seriously, these moments would come-out to change our lives for good. 

Therefore, a message to ME:

Embrace your true potentials.,

Unlock your hidden self.,

Find purpose and run with it., 

Live life., and 

Affect the community of people you've been called out for.

Indeed, your story is for the people to benefit from. *Get writing...*

Love Happens



It's nice to finally put a face to the name, LOVE. However, what I can't understand is how you could spend 'forever' chasing after your own tale. 

How you look in every direction, including the wrong places, yet it appears as though you aren't looking at all.

More often than not, I can only but wonder why most of us are limited by certain metrics (derived by some god knows who), when all that we have ever wanted, longed, and hoped for is right before us -every single time.

Sometimes, some of us are lucky to finally be united with that one person or dream -after a long wild goose chase- others aren't and might have to settle with what's left *chuckles*

Nevertheless, one thing is true, when true love finally catches up, you'd be everything and wowed.

So, why not let loose, forget about the unrest, and allow love play itself out. Afterall, you cannot know the script better than the writer himself.

Find love, Find happiness.

For you can only love others as much as you love yourself.

Consider this a push

*Consider This A Push*

I like 'thinkers' -they make me think- and I applaud their ability to plot. However, i celebrate doers even much more better, as they inspire me to 'act'.
It is said that plodders and not plotters make things happen. 

To the Bible scholars, God would neither say 'well-planned', 'well-thought', 'well-said, nor would He say 'well-strategize' good-and-faithful servant. Instead, the only commendation remains, 'well-done' good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:23). That's to say, God recognises 'workdone'.

While setting goals and generating strategies is important, implementing such is of greater importance -more reason people readily celebrate the 'forefronters' and not the 'rareguards'.
 
Although we've all suffered from the pain of defeat and the agony of setbacks, the hardest part of finishing yet remains to start.
Consider going after your dream just as riding a bicycle, you've got to get a little momentum to really get going. At every obstacle encountered, you've got to regenerate the needed momentum to keep going until you finally arrive at the finish line.
Just like the bicycle, life is no different, you've got to find your push and "just do it" (Nike).

Consider this as one of those *push* necessary to assist in your generating as much momentum as needed to getting to your finish point.

As I close, find time to answer the following questions genuinely:

1. What do i need to start?
2. What am i waiting for? and
3. Where am i standing on the path to executing my God given idea?

Forgiveness

Ed note: Forgiveness is another action that sustains a man's life, and without it he becomes embittered by life. -Pst. Godman Akinlabi 

When a man is hurt or bitter, it is as though his mind is shielded from everything that's good in life. At the point, he finds it difficult to appreciate anything good and the only energy he'd be radiating would be 'hardness'.

'This could be witnessed in say a man who refuses to forgive his spouse and in the process becomes bitter and oblivious to all the good things in his marriage. He shuts himself out on everything and everyone, and in the process offers himself nothing but disservice'.

Although i'm not married yet, i've witnessed people live bitterly prior to an awful decision, and i can tell that it's one of the regrettable-errors to be made by anyone.

The irony of forgiveness is that it prevents one from receiving and accepting forgiveness in return as at when due. A quick look at our Lord's prayer explains it better, "forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us". In other words, you can't get grace if you don't extend grace to others -it's that simple.

In the light of the truth, you can get angry or choose to express your disappointment, however, "be angry but don't sin". That is, express your displeasure without seeking to draw blood from the other person.

Although, it's humanly to want to take revenge, but for every disagreement you have a choice to either throw-caution-to-the-wind or end it on the spot.

Just as you're not less a man if you choose to express your disappointment in a thing or someone, offering a sacrifice of peace doesn't make you a coward either. In fact, it makes you a better man and reveals how strong you are in dealing with matters generally. Also, it further speaks of the better man that is on your inside, and this you need show more often.

N.B: Everyone can get angry and destroy what's been built over the years, but that doesn't have to be you.

Choose right, Live right!!!

We all stumble, everyone of us, that's why it's a comfort to walk hand-in-hand.
Notwithstanding, it worries me a whole lot each time i see people struggle prior to ignorance and selfishness.
Come to think of it, if Adam could have survived alone, there wouldn't have been a need for Eve.
Thus, establishing the place of immense association.

As a business-owner, I would rather have a joint-venture worth several billions, than a sole business worth millions. It doesn't get any better than that.

Think deep, Dig deeper.

I had been reunited with an old friend with whom I shared quality time catching up on old times.
Our discussion covered almost every ground and as we chatted on-and-on, i could see peace in her eyes in spite  of her dreams not being fulfilled yet. She was overly confident and hopeful. I'd say that's 'something'.

Well, it's easier to feel hopeful on a beautiful day, but there will be dark days too -days when you feel terrified and without a way out. However, then is when you need hope the most.

I see a new Nigeria, a nation with great institution made out of sheer values and strength. A platform set on togetherness,  ushering in a coordinated society embracing equality.

From me to you, Happy Independence Day.
Stay hopeful, Be hopeful.

Dreams will only remain in the confines of the mind except if made a reality.

I guess the saddest loss for any man would be for his dreams to never take off������.
For just as planes were built to live in the skies, so was man born to live out his dreams. So much that you can't possibly get it wrong with the right dream in the right direction������

On your way to the top, you're probably gonna fall������ a couple of times or more, but the reality remains, no one will be counting except you1⃣2⃣3⃣.

Indeed, i guess i can say that you are the greatest enemy of yourself������, and until you win over yourself, there would be less that you can accomplish.

Therefore, there's a need for you to liberate your mind from what it had been wired around - in which case failure it could be failure������- and embrace the chances of maximising opportunities regardless of the obstacles.
Give yourself to learning a new thing per time, whereby you create a new pathway in your mind and have your belief-system structured around it, until you fully gain the power ������������ to bring the ideas birthed into fruition.

Until I see you again, Conquer your fear, Conquer your world. ��������

Happily Ever After

A friend once asked when it could be said that one is either happy or sad, and in response I had this to say.

Happiness ������ isn't a thing that happens down the road, or a mood that comes once in a while. It is an active sense of feeling������, borne out of the in-depth knowledge of self. You're either happy or you're not������, there's no in-betweens.

When a large part of your emotions is spent waiting �� for the occurrence of an event to propel you into the realm of pure bliss, then you might have just lost ������the meaning of happiness and true rest.
At this point, it could be said that you aren't living maximally������, and what you have termed happiness could be likened to a boss, who's never satisfied and would always have so many more tasks to 'dish-out' in order for you to grow wit to execute just another one -a tail of an insatiable desire������.

Happiness is discovering who you are, it is finding your heart, loving yourself, expressing the joy garnered inside-out, and offering the same measure of gifts acquired unto others, regardless of who deserves what or not ������

By so doing, you'd have gained mastery over your mind and obtained pure happiness������.

Therefore, regardless of your thought-pattern or belief, make a decision to not wait for anyone or events before you choose to be happy����������.

...then and only then can you live happily ever after...

Grow beyond your errors and give yourself a reason to live better than you have ever done.

Life is but a ground, it would only bud-off the species of seed you plant in it.

Is the future really bright ?

Just as the brain is some repository for knowledge, so is the LIBRARY to an endless chain of information.

Libraries are the future of Reading and the future of great leadership for any nation.
What a nation thinks about its centres for learning is a measure of what it feels about education.

The reflections and histories of men and women throughout the world are contained in books, and education presents the opportunity to ask questions, find answers, and break open the doors leading to this historical knowledge. A nation’s greatness and progress is dependent upon each and every citizen being able to access and utilise this knowledge, turning every detail into a lead.

However, an unresolved question remains: What does the future hold for a nation with such a large youthful population who have little or no interest in education or books? Would such place be conducive for living or left with ruins?

A mentor of mine once said, "the most dangerous sets of people are those who make decisions based on residual knowledge".
At first, it appears as though they are right, but when such knowledge is put through test it falls apart, though after having ruined lives.

I will close with this, the scripture Proverbs 4:7 says, " Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding". Getting here is a continuous transitive verb, that means to continuously obtain or gain possession of a thing.

If the the oldest book that exists and communicates the mind of the creator (God), lays emphasis on the importance of education then I see no reason why anyone should neglect it.

Indulgence

Life is like a coin, you can spend it on anything you want but you can only spend it once. We all want different things and everything, but there is more to our taste than meet the eye.

You are a sum total of your environment. ‘Man=Gene+Environment’,

In biology, the morphological and physiological character of a man is determined by his gene influenced by the reason of his environment.
You are a sum total of your environment. That is, 'Man=Gene+Environment', and a product of: what you have learnt; and the contributions made by the people -mentors, teachers, friends, advisors, family, and religious leaders- given permission to influence your life.

What you are + Why you are = Who you are.

When you dwell on your personality and align it with your purpose, it brings-out the essence of your existence, which is in relation to your worth.
However, a man’s worth is a function of his work defined by his purpose and fueled by his passion.
There is no greater thing than to function in one’s place of purpose, doing things effortlessly with a primary source of motivation, passion.
The best you there is, is the you that is yet to be discovered, the energy yet to be untapped, and the reward yet to be obtained.

My advice, life is not as difficult as perceived by many, if we would only indulge in self discovery and personal development. Only then can the ‘dream-you’ come to birth.

Love life, embrace your true self.

The language fear understands

 Fear is nothing but perception and a psychological response to our emotional weaknesses.
It is as a result of our succumbing to the idea of doubt in ourselves, values, focus, strength, and right.

I discovered that there is only one secret to insecurity and its ranks and most importantly a solution to fear.

Man's fear for 'life' and its relative constituents is in the absence of the knowledge of his capabilities.
It is as a child who is weak, quite, and without a voice in the absence of his father. At this point, anyone and anything could possibly have their way around him and push him in defined direction with little or no force applied.
However, a spark of life and expression rushes through his veins and confidence is restored the moment he feels the presence of his father.

Over the years, we have tried to sort ourselves, get rid of our challenges, be appreciated and recognised by those we love and believe should love us in return. We try consistently to find meaning, purpose, and divinity, but the more tried the farther they all seem to get.
Some lose hope and give-in to mediocrity, while others thirsts for some change in a miracle.

At some point of my life, I was equally confused and frustrated, but God's word made the difference.
Firstly, by showing me who I am, and His divine-driven purpose for my life. Since then, I have been working towards developing and marketing this new me.

Lastly, He consistently inspires courage in me through His word and revelation. It is like being presented with a flashlight in the darkest path of your life.
 
Friend, my solution to insecurity and fear is God. Zephaniah 3:15-17 reads: " [For then it will be that] the Lord has taken away the judgments against you; He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even the Lord [Himself], is in the midst of you; [and after He has come to you] you shall not experience or fear evil any more.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem [you], Fear not, O Zion. Let not your hands sink down or be slow and listless.
The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

It is not okay to think you can ever do it on your own, even the universe understands the power of unity, the more reason you need to be united with God if you desire divine change.

Take a while, think about it, then make your call, be sure that He will 'pick-up'.

The fact that I write about marriage does not mean I have had a first-hand experience of the union in anyway. Instead, it is as a result of several observations made from the little world that revolves around me -from my parent's, to my sibling's, colleagues', and through the knowledge amassed from various authors of best selling books. Not forgetting seminars and endless discussions with friends and mentors across board.

Though the understanding of marriage varies in proportion to varying cultural practices, believes and philosophies, It is still principally an institution of interpersonal relationship between similar entities. It is believed that before such huge step is considered, some level of understanding must have been  established successfully, without any of the two parties involved expressing discomfort or dissatisfaction.

The reason "why one marries is as important as who to marry and the happiness of such person thereafter".
For true happiness is too-often-than-none, dependent on what choices you make and who you make such choices with.
Happiness, love, insurance, and hope, does not come from the outside or by chance, but by a conscious effort to provoke such experience in one's life. One of my mentors once said "when you are consciously 'grateful' for a cause, it will never go wrong. Instead it will be replicated and spread across board" ~ Poju Oyemade.

I am hit with mixed feelings each time I consider the level of moral decadence in our present day society, and I cannot help but fear what the future holds for us all if this persists.
One of my greatest fear is to live in discomfort and dissatisfied for the rest of my life, and since divorce is not an option, and living in what one would call a-hell-of-a-relationship isn't either, I find it paramount to be responsible for every decision I would ever make. Otherwise, the destruction of mind and character would be inevitable.

Success in marriage -just as in every other aspect of life- is not a function of how hard you try, but how smart you work. It lies in every decision you make, and in the choices that you can hardly ever take back.

God's vision for man is that we have life -and that- more abundantly, to subdue the earth and multiply exceedingly. As interesting as it might sound, it will never be achievable if one of the recognizable source of good life -even for the next generation- is dysfunctional and eventually defeated.

Albeit life could be challenging, with the right approach it is most definitely good.
Make the right choices, stand on it, and see it germinate.

Remember, life is everything and your perception. Man can only be limited in understanding by what he dims fit.
Choose right, live right.

Encounter in descent to a particular class of discuss

The new year has been a turn around for me so far, I mean coming from the drama of the year before and its challenges.
Few days ago I turned a year older, and ever since then I have watched carefully the old me succumb gradually to the emergence of a new individual.
It is as an amphibian that's undergone ecdysis, giving rise to an obvious configurational change. This is one growth I'm super excited talking about and would readily share with the rest world.

This week I would love to share from my mentor's table.
Recently, i was under the ministry of Pastor Bolaji Idowu, where he discussed the message "having an encounter with God". The knowledge shared resulted in this article, as it opened my mind to a new light.

"Encounter in descent to a particular class of discuss".

An encounter goes beyond a physical interaction, it includes the spiritual, emotional, psychological, and biological attachment that comes off it. It is in the little things we do, how we inspire courage in ourselves and others. Most importantly, it is in the report we get from the people around us, and what we make of it.

In an instance of confrontation with someone or something (notably face-to-face), where you find yourself being engaged in an unexpected situation that either could be pleasant or otherwise. Here, hope is usually restored or dashed invariably.

As simple or complicated as the above might read, it cannot be compared to having an -immeasurable- intra-relationship with God. Coming into contact with God gives man utmost confidence to achieving greatness and to overcome fierce battles in life back-to-back. " Daniel 11:32b ...but the people who know their God shall be strong and they shall do exploit".
God's word is the primary tool to changing destiny. As every spiritual discovery leads to a supernatural discovery, which eventually is manifested in the physical. Thereby, the word of God is the yardstick to defining good success.

Too often than none, challenges strikes and makes it appear as though there is no way out, but then when life shoots us in the leg and everything else looks out of place, we can be sure to leave it to el-shaddai- God almighty. John 11:39.
This way, your mentality is transformed towards understanding that with God everything is indeed possible - 2Kings 7.
When one believes in the hand of the lord, he will continually receive and be empowered to receive more. John 1; 11:40.
Also, if you believe in God then you need to believe His ambassadors. "Embrace a prophetic instructions and you'd receive a prophetic reward. 2 Kings 13:15".
For when you believe in a cause, it  affects your disposition and changes your mindset invariably. Thereby it helps you to believe in the impossible, that indeed "All izz well".

Note: "If you behold Jesus Christ as a carpenter, you will receive nothing but furniture. But if you see Him as the saviour you will receive life".
